Athen: Claim on the action of 4/12 -Attack against Syriza Ministers Home

Police in front of Ministers home

On the evening of 4th December, we made our attack upon the police border control of Exarchia on Voulgaroktonou street. We came with sticks and bottles flaming, and as they saw us they immediately started to panic and run shouting for help. We struck fear into their hearts and sticks onto their heads, fire engulfed at least two policeman and at least one patrol car was burned. We hunted them and made sure it was a night to remember. We also stole some of their equipment (clubs, shields, helmets). When we left, the street had changed its character, transformed from a quiet suburban street with a police checkpoint to a battleground, a site of victory. They also bleed, and we can make them.

Responsibility claim for hit-n-run attacks in Ilisia and Kolonaki

At the point that you realize that the "scum", the suicidals and the killed ones of this world are the most alive, the most lively viberating figures of it, that's also the point that you realize its construct of values and its structural violence. We 've been destructed many times by the coldness in the eyes of the people around, we 've been destroyed slowly and brutally while experiencing the everyday death. From the dead time of wage labour, the sucking of every livelyhood from the automization of production, the freezing passionless gazes towards pain, from the miserable survival, the screaming encountering of the unknown in the mirror, to our transformation into information quantums for modern biotechnology, to the psychological depression and the sadness that totally locks the windows of pleasure, of playing, of genuine social interraction. A whole authoritarian complex is created, reproducing death, reproducing the authority of economy, of the state, the patriarchy, the nation, reproducing the values of submission, of self-enclosure, of social elevation, of producing normativities and stigmas.

Some videos from Athens

On 17 November 2018, following the annual protest in commemoration of the student revolt against the military dictatorship in Athens, Greece, (1973), and despite the fact that this year's protest was ending in an absolutely peaceful manner, scores of riot policemen encircled the black block just before it was going to disperse and they suddenly launched a massive attack and charged against the crowd with batons while firing asphyxiating gas grenades and flash-bang grenades, creating chaos in a residential area of central Athens, just outside Ambelokipoi metro station.

Athen: Anarchists attack French Institute in response to call for international solidarity

french institute

As part of an international call for solidarity, We, an anarchist initiative in Athens, responded by targeting the French institute, a diplomatic institution under the French Embassy and State. The French Institute’s purpose is to legitimize the legacy of French colonialism and perpetuate its nationalist identity. France is erecting murderous borders and prosecuting those who struggle to destroy them. Under the repression of the French state, all institutions that normalize its existence become legitimate targets for our struggle.

Athen: REGARDING THE INVASION OF COPS IN THE NEIGHBOURHOOD AFTER THE ATTEMPT TO OPEN A NEW SQUAT

On Friday the 10th of August, we attempted to occupy a building in Matrozou Str., Our target was to expand the housing structures of our community. We chose the specific building since it was visibly abandoned. The doors were picked, the ceilings about to fall and the house in a mess. We had also entered the house from the front door with daylight lots of times without any reaction from the neighbourhood. Although, during the time of the people’s market (laiki agora) and after the body of our community entered the house starting the jobs to stabilise it as an occupied space, a lady showed claiming it as her property. Allegedly, she wants to take future value out of it and was using it to keep inside her mother’s trousseau. She had an inflexible stance and repeatedly called the cops.

State terrorism: Torture on the back streets of Athens

On Thursday 27th of July around 2 in the morning in Athens, on Bouboulinas st. in Exachia neighborhood, a squadron of greek cops kidnapped and tortured an anarchist immigrant. Straight away they began to torture me with a barrage of kicks, using racist and fascist insults. Meanwhile, the police stated that my offense is that I am an anarchist and belong to a known political group of Exarchia. Then the squadron of riot cops forced me into a dark alley. They laid me on the ground and they tried to break my ribs by kicking; I placed my hand on my ribs to protect them. They took away my hand from my ribs and tried to break my fingers with their shields. In order to protect my fingers, I pulled my hand under my belly. At that moment, they hit my ribs again to break them. This action lasted a long time, until one of the cops proposed to break my wrists. So they placed my hands on the curb stone to break them with batons, but I managed to pull my hands away. This escalated their anger, and by saying fascist and racist insults, they all started to beat me. They beat me for more than one and a half hours. All the while they were taking several photos of me getting beaten up, as well as when I was lying semi conscious on the street. When cops realized that my body had been seriously damaged and I was not able to move, they started to play a game with me, telling me “you have ten seconds to leave from here, if we catch you again, we will kill you”, and two cops moved a little bit ahead of me to catch me again. They hit my knee several times with batons to make sure that I can not escape. When one of them turned to look behind him, with all of the pain that I had, I started running. One of the cops tried to catch me again but I could escape by running up Tositsa and seek help at a nearby house of comrades.
