Jetzt will es wieder keiner gewesen sein! Wieder einmal hat ein Gericht ein deutsches Gesetz als verfassungswidrig verurteilt. Dies geschieht mittlerweile in schöner Regelmäßigkeit! Trotz aller aktiven Hilfe von Banken, Wirtschaft, Lobbyisten und Verbänden schaffen es unsere Politiker kaum noch auf Anhieb ein verfassungskonformes Gesetz zu verabschieden. Überall muss nachgearbeitet, geflickt werden bei dieser Stümperei, die hier zur Norm erhoben wurde.

Immobiliensymposiums zeigten sich verstört und verunsichert. Wenige

...I had an interesting moment with my 14 year old son the other day. I had gone to the US Debt Clock website and was taking a minute to just watch the numbers roll up and down in the various amounts. The site breaks down the debt into a per person amounts.

It is quite depressing. My 14 year old son walked by and I had him take a look at it all, explaining that someday my son, all this will be yours. His first words were "Why the hell should I have to pay that back?"

I found that comment interesting in that he does have a point. It's not like the money that has been borrowed in the past has been used to create world class infrastructures or world class anything. The vast majority of all the money borrowed by the government decade after decade has been just thrown down every conceivable rathole.

Imagine if his entire generation comes to the same conclusion someday. His generation should not have to pay that debt back. Indeed, his generation cannot possibly pay that debt back even if they wanted to...

Gegen die 46. "Sicherheitskonferenz" in München demonstrierten am Samstag, den 6. Februar 2010, rund 3.000 Menschen. Begleitet wurde die Demonstration von einem massiven Polizeiaufgebot, aus sechs Bundesländern reisten PolizistInnen an, um die "Sicherheit" in der Stadt München zu gewährleisten.

After the victory against Persians, some city-states tried to brake away from the alliance and the result was the total and raw use of war power from the side of Athens. The citizens of Athens start thinking on survival bases and overcome any moral barries. The result was a civil war and destruction...

Democracy = the ability of a society to create laws for its inner function, which are voted by the citizens. Each person, on her/his own participates on the political decisions. Democracy was established in ancient Athens and some other towns around the hellenic area. The democratic phenomenon, which ended in 4th century b.C., had the characteristic of continues revolution. Revolution of thinking, blooming of philosophy and other anthropocentric elements. The ideas of the athenian democracy influenced the french revolution of 1789. Today, the word democracy is incorrectly used to describe the liberal oligarchic systems of the western world. Incorrectly again, many times the word is used in a way that describes the human rights.

Aus auktuellem Anlass der sich global zuspitzenden Krise der Staatsfinanzen etlicher Länder (derzeit ist Griechenland, bald wohl Portugal, Irland, Grossbritanien oder auch Japan an der Reihe) poste ich einen älteren Artikel über deren ökonomische Hintergründe, die in der seit Jahrzehnten schwelenden, fundamentalen Systemkrise des spätkapitalistischen warenproduzierenden Systems zu verorten sind.

Unter dem Motto „Gegen Krieg und Krise“ demonstrierten am Samstag (30.01.09) rund zwei Dutzend Antimilitarist_innen in der Rosenheimer Fußgänger_innenzone. Anlass für die Protestkundgebung ist die am kommenden Wochenende stattfindende sogenannte „NATO Sicherheitskonferenz“ in München.

Dieser Bericht ist im Zuge einer zweiwöchigen Fahrradreise in Costa Rica bzw. Panama entstanden und beschäftigt sich mit der Agroindustrie Costa Ricas sowie Infrastrukturprojekten in den nördlichen Regionen Panamas und in ganz Costa Rica. Aufmerksame Reisende mit etwas Vorahnung und Sprachkenntnissen können in vielen Teilen der Welt Informationen sammeln und diese in aufbereiteter Form dem Publikum auf unterschiedlichste Arten zugänglich machen. Für einen Journalismus von Menschen für Menschen.

Am heutigen Tag blockierten ca. 100 Hafenarbeiter_innen und Unterstützer_innen den bremerhavener Hafen, um ihren Protest gegen Entlassungen und Lohnkürzungen zu artikulieren.
Die Blockade hielt etwa eine Stunde und verrursachte einen zwei Kilometer langen Stau.
