Students Revolt in Austria Enters 10th Day
Vienna – The Students Revolt in Austria which began last week with the occupation of the Vienna School of Art and spread wildly over the whole country entered today its 10th Day. Today, four thousand people took the streets in Graz, in southeastern Austria, to protest against the continuing degradation of their study and living conditions. In early afternoon, the assembly-hall of the faculty of social sciences at Innsbruck University, in the federal state of Tyrol, was squatted by students. That means that, at the moment, lecture rooms and spaces at all principal Austrian universitys are occupied by student activists. Only the little university of Leoben, in Styria, which specializes in mining is not yet seized by the waves of protest.

Today the revolts in Pagani started again. After the Vice Minister of internal affairs visited Pagani two days ago, the violent habits returned to Pagani. Prisoners reported about a huge police brutality after the visit. Some of the prisoners where calls out, one after the other, to the prison Jard. There they where badly beaten by the police. The prisoners felt save, telling the vice Minister about there situation, but in the end there where punished for there statements in front of the visitor. A complain against the police was made by the prisoners.

In Athen wurde ein pakistanischer Migrant zu Tode geprügelt und gestern fand eine Demonstration statt, die von der Polizei angegriffen wurde und bei der acht Menschen festgenommen wurden. Die Leute sollen heute schon angeklagt werden. Das Ende der Demonstration war das Rathaus des Stadtteils Nikea, wo die Polizeiwache ist, in der der junge pakistanische Mann zu Tode geprügelt wurde.

Today the second chamber in the dutch parliament voted for a law that bans squatting. A controversial law because not only squatters but also organisations taking care of monuments, local governments and allot of civilians oppose the prohibition of squatting.
