some thoughts On the attack of the german state on Casa Kuà

Sunday evening, the 18th of October, the german state decided for a new step of escalation in its repression against trans*people, especially trans*femmes and self-organization.

By raiding Casa Kuà, in which the weekly trans femme* social space took place, the berlin Cops once again made clear, that no task is too disgusting for them to carry out, whether hidden behind their role as mindless henchmen or with open delight in nasty power games.

Just imagine – all it takes is for trans*people to meet up, have self-determined discussions and worry about their own bodies and those of their friends to justify a raid, arrests and harassment. Whilst Berlin is still polishing its liberal, queer-friendly image. Queer-friendly only if queerness can be exploited to serve corporate interests and militarisation and if it helps to maintain the status quo. Any form of queerness that deviates from this agenda is quite clearly an enemy of those in power.

Its the first time in Germany I noticed the state is criminalizing the autonomous health-care of trans*people this aggressively. By claiming to act on base of „violation of Narcotics law“, the Pigs are legitimizing their invasion and are even brazen enough to boast to the press that there has been suspicions of illegal dealings with prescripiton medicines, and that medicines, narcotic, data storage devices and cash have been seized. They also took IDs of many people, that were in the building at the "dolls workshop diy & cryptocurrency" and arrested two in the evening.

Lets be real – Its fucking ridiculous, worthy of all our hate and anger to even dare to pretend that its not just about open hatred towards trans*people and self-determined, anti-colonial spaces!

What the people do there – how they are etablishing structures of mutual care, and refusing to accept all the coldness and brutality that this world reserves for trans*people and instead building up and taking what this state refuses to give us – is something incredibly wonderful and valuable.

Its not just an attack on this one place – its an attack on all the structures of autonomous health-care and organization of queer people.

As always when repression hits – we have to come even closer together, talk about our fears and all the anger, give our feelings space and the streets.

Many people will now have to think about what this new state of repression changes for them.

As all of us have to think about, what the militarization and growing facism changes for us and our actions.

Whatever changes – we won’t stop fighting for all of us, for total liberation. We will not stop fighting for self-organized health-care for all of us. We will never stop fighting a system, that is in itself an attack on (queer) life.

Talk about it! Take the night, the streets and all the places they want to take from us! Lets stay ready for supporting Casa Kuà, in whatever they need to react on this attack.

Lets feel the anger, the pain and the fear all their cruelty creates and turn these feelings into compost that nourishes our struggles
