Solstar is a left wing volunteer-run sports group with classes run by women for women and men over 18, building practical and political solidarity.

The aim of this project is to encourage women and men from all backgrounds to take up contact martial arts, build up fitness and confidence as well as creating an atmosphere of comradeship and building links between communites. 

Solstar is by us, for us - a space for those on the left to train, meet, and build practical, positive bonds of friendship and solidarity. Solstar classes are supported equally by women and men
