WiWa Stay! Protest Camp September 25 – October 4
From Friday, September 25, to Sunday, October 4, 2026, in the clearing. Stop the Clearing! The Wilde Wald in Wilhelmsburg has been under threat for years. The so-called Spreehafenviertel is slated to be built where approximately 10 hectares of valuable wilderness currently thrive. The city of Hamburg is sticking to plans that are decades old, even as we experience new heat records every year. We need every square meter of green space in the city. The approximately 100,000 m² of forest make a real difference for the climate and biodiversity.
The 4th WiWa Protest Camp kicks off just in time for the next logging season—to preserve the Wild Forest and all forests!
Come on by—for a few hours or several days. We’ll provide food, camping spots, and adventure. We speak German and can translate into English.
Our program includes climbing workshops, forest walks, music, banner painting, talks, and treehouse renovation—there’s plenty to learn, do, and create together. Join us!

Every Day for Everyone:
10 a.m. – Morning Meeting: We plan the day together and assign tasks.
6 p.m. – Warm vegan meal: We start cooking together at 4:30 p.m. Help out or just come for dinner.
Afterward – a cozy campfire!

On Thursday, September 24, at 6:00 p.m., there will be a warm vegan meal for everyone at our kickoff community kitchen event!
