Gemeinsam gegen Krieg und Kürzungen

Aktuell gibt es 55 Kriege und bewaffnete Konflikte auf der Welt, das ist seit 1945 trauriger Spitzenwert. Und auch hier vor Ort werden Aufrüstung und Militarisierung vorangetrieben. Mit Beginn des Angriffs Russlands auf die Ukraine wird das immer offensichtlicher. Angst und Verunsicherung vor den Schrecken des Krieges sind berechtigt, doch die derzeitige Politik sichert keinen echten Frieden. Im Gegenteil: Sie treibt die Eskalationsspirale nur noch schneller an. Die Stationierung von Mittelstreckenraketen in Deutschland ist nur eines von vielen Beispielen dafür.

Auch rhetorisch wird immer weiter aufgerüstet, wir sollen „kriegstüchtig werden“. Damit sind nicht nur Wehrpflicht oder neue Waffen für die Bundeswehr, sondern auch die Kriegsvorbereitung von Krankenhäusern, Schulen, Infrastruktur und vielem mehr gemeint. Bis 2029 sollen unfassbare 41% des gesamten Haushaltes für Rüstung ausgegeben werden – natürlich immer auf Kosten von uns allen. Denn diese astronomische Summe wird unter anderem im sozialen Bereich eingespart werden. Zwölf Staaten stecken jährlich zwei mehr als Billionen Euro in Rüstung. Von diesem Geld könnten alle Hungerleidenden weltweit mehr als 20 Jahre lang satt werden.

Profitieren tun von dieser Politik vor allem die Rüstungsunternehmen. Die Werte ihrer Aktien steigen rasant an, getrieben durch die Aufrüstung hier vor Ort wie global. Die Kriege in Palästina und Kurdistan, der Ukraine, dem Sudan und dem Kongo eskalieren immer weiter, während Deutschland weiter Waffen in Kriegsgebiete liefert.
Um diese Entwicklungen aufzuhalten, braucht es eine antimilitaristische Bewegung von unten, die Druck auf der Straße erzeugt und in alle Bereiche der Gesellschaft hineinwirkt – von der Kita bis in die Gewerkschaften. Deshalb wollen wir gemeinsam mit euch aktiv werden und am Antikriegstag demonstrieren.

Für eine friedliche und gerechte Welt, ohne Ausbeutung, Kapitalismus und Krieg!

Für die demokratische Kontrolle der Rüstungsindustrie und die Umstellung auf sinnvolle, zivile Produktion!

Für die Aufnahme aller notleidenden, von Kriegen betroffenen Menschen!

Für einen sofortigen Stopp aller Rüstungsprojekte und Waffenlieferungen!

United against Militarization and Social Cuts!

There are 55 Wars and armed conflicts raging across the World, a sad all-time high since 1945. And Militarization and rearmament are pushed forward here as well. This became even clearer with the beginning of Russia’s attack on Ukraine. Being afraid of the horrors of war is justified, but the current policy of rearmament does not secure real peace. On the contrary: It accelerates the spiral of escalation. The planned stationing of medium-range missiles in Germany is just one example of many.

Rhetoric too, is becoming increasingly aggressive: We are supposed to “become fit for war”. This not only entails the compulsory military service, but also the war preparations of hospitals, schools, infrastructure and much more. Until 2029 a whopping 41% of the national budged is planned to be spent on “defense” – at the expense of us all, because this astronomical sum will financed by cutting expenditures, for example in the in the social sector.

Twelve states spend over two trillion euros each year on armament. This would be enough to feed all of the world’s hungry for more than twenty years.

The main profiteers are arms companies. Their stock values are rising – accelerated by armament here and globally. The wars in Palestine, Kurdistan, Ukraine, Sudan and Congo are escalating, while Germany continues to sell weapons to regions of conflict.

To stop these developments, an antimilitaristic grassroots movement is needed, one that exerts pressure in the streets, and impacts all areas of society – from daycare centers to trade unions. That’s why we want to get into action together and take to the streets on anti-war day.

For a peaceful and just world, without exploitation, capitalism and war!

For democratic control of the arms industry and the transformation to meaningful, civil production!

For welcoming of all people suffering or affected by wars!

For an immediate stop of all armament projects and arms exports!
