there is no rule that force you to speak to those green or blue pigs
only your name, birthday, homeadress, only a approximate job title (student, designer,... no employer or neme of your university ...) and your family status - nothing else!!

Am 24. Mai trampte ich in Richtung Berlin. Jemand hatte mich mit über die deutsche Grenze genommen und in Aachen rausgelassen. Von dort versuchte ich weiter zu trampen aber nach fünf Minuten fuhr ein Polizeiwagen vorbei, drehte um und hielt bei mir. Die Cops sagten mir, das es illegal sei, in Deutschland zu trampen und ich mit auf die Wache kommen müsse. Sie hielten mich über eine Stunde fest und fragten mich Dinge wie „Wo in Deutschland wirst du dich aufhalten? Wie lange wirst du bleiben? Wo wirst du schlafen? ...". Sie haben mich nicht eingesperrt, aber ausgefragt, bis sie sich sicher waren, dass ich kein Aktivist bin. Danach brachten sie mich zum Bahnhof und sagten mir, ich müsste mit der Bahn weiterfahren, was ich dann auch tat.

Die Story, die ich den Cops erzählt habe:
Ich bin ein Kunststudent, der nach Berlin fährt, um sich einige Ausstellungen anzusehen. Ich bleibe nur bis zum Wochenende und werde bei Freunden übernachten. Ich weiß nicht, wo genau mein Freund wohnt, aber verabredet ihm eine SMS zu schicken kurz bevor ich Berlin erreiche, so dass er mich vom Bahnhof abholen kann.

Diese Story hab ich immer wieder wiederholt und sie haben mir schließlich geglaubt.

Für andere Leute, die planen zum G8 zu kommen:
Es ist nicht illegal in Deutschland zu trampen, aber es ist trotzdem gut, eine ähnliche Story bereit zu haben, da die Repression bereits eingesetzt hat.

If you are going to hitch-hike on the autobahn (highway) you will have to do this on the parking places (rastplatz or raststätte or parkplatz). If you try to do this on the autobahn directly, which also includes those parts, who lead to the autobahn this ist an "ordnungswidrigkeit". they could charge you some EURO (10 to 30) but nothing more. check your id as well. but they cant take you to the station.

if the people coming to germany and do like you said: say nothing, you have the effect which is not wanted, the cops know that the person who says nothing is an aktivist(Because they know what the "Rote Hilfe"(Red Help-german legal advice) says, so i think the story like it is described above is better, just two,three short assumed "facts", repeated, and don't knowing what the cops else want and don't saying something else if you try to dont have stress.

And more basic: have a inconspicuous dress >if< you try to travel without stress.
