***SHAC Action Alert***
Kirby Cramer and Landec Corporation

"... and saw a beagle on the necrosy table. The vivisector put a
knife into the animal and he threw his head back and howled and
actually lurched himself down the table were the person had to grab
the loose hunk of skin and drgan him back down the table and he was
howling audibly. I could hear it through the door and then his last
howls were when the leg muscles were severed."
Interview with Michelle Rokke, undercover investigator into HLS.

Kirby Cramer, a director and financial backer of Huntingdon Life
Sciences, is starting to feel the heat. Not long after he was fully
exposed in SHAC USA's newsletter he sold half of his shares in HLS at
a big loss. Nevertheless he still owns approximately 4% of the
company and we will not get off his back until he severs all ties
with HLS.

Cramer is one of the most powerful men in HLS, and has provided the
backing which kept his old friend, HLS Chairman Andrew Baker, in
business. He was also involved in setting Hazelton Labs, which now
form part of that other animal torture company Covance. It was at
Covance that Brian Cass cut his teeth in making money out of animal
abuse.

Cramer is involved in a large circle of companies, the directors of
which are packed with his old cronies and many of which are involved
in the 'life sciences' or genetic engineering businesses. In other
words, a man who is more than happy to profit out of animal abuse. He
is just as guilty as the scientist who cut the living beagle apart.

Well, he's got the cold feet now, and we are going to keep him on the
run, until he has no option but to permanently distance himself from
anything to do with HLS.

So this week we support US activists and target Landec Corporation
where Kirby Cramer is a director. Landec, and it's subsidaries Apio Inc
& Landec Ag Inc, are companies heavily
involved in genetic engineering. We are not expecting you to be able
to phone or fax, though it would be brilliant if you can, but we are
asking that you make a good bit of effort to send the board of
directors, senior management and their sales staff emails to complain
about the involvement of Kirby Cramer in their company. While you are
at it, why not visit their website (www.landec.com/rpi.html) to
request their brochures and have it passed on to all your friends so
they too can see what this company is up to...

ich dachte immer,

weist 28.11.2002 - 19:31
