With a hole on his lunge cause he was beaten up from Greek Police

Since 4 days a youngster who was brutally beated up from policemen last Thursday night, in the center of Athens, is hospitalized now in Evaggelismos hospital, with a broken chest bone and a hole in his lounge.
The 27 year old man, that spoked from the hospital to Eleftherotypia newspaper, has black marks and injuries almost on the whole of his body. As he said, policemen from DELTA Team arrested and started beating & swearing against him. One of the policemen grasped him from his neck, rised him up from the ground and threw him on the road as long other policemen started kicking him on his chest and on the sides of his body. When they satisfied themselvs, they tided him on a tree and took him with other 4 arrested persons in GADA (General Police Offices in Athens). There, they saw how serious he was injured and transfered him in Evaggelismos hospital.

The young citizen is hospitalized in chest-surgeon unit of Evaggelismos, after a tube was connected in his lounge injure that was caused from the broken chest bone. His blind arrest and the butchery beating up took place on Tzavellas and Benakis Street. As his laywer states, mr K. Papadakis, the young citizen did not have any involvment in the events between youngsters and police forces that happened this night at Exarheia area, around the old offices of PASOK (Socialistic Parliament Partie). But against him, (as also against the other 4 arrested citizens) were exausted blames for heavy criminal actions for carrying explosives, causing dangerous body injuries and defending against the police, even if, as anybody says no molotov coctails were thrown during those events. It's a typical tactic from police, when they are exposed for unreasonable violence, say some laywers sources. They give against the arrested citizens no-sense blames and disfigures the real events, to escape from law control against some members of the police forces. Something similar they tried to do with "Zarntiniera Case" and the butchery violence against the cyprus student (Zarntiniera Case:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U1ATxN5F-pc&feature=PlayList&p=E342D189A05FF623&playnext=1&playnext_from=PL&index=16). But there they were exposed by cameras. The critical question to the heads of Inland Ministry [Mr. P. Pavlopoulos (translator's note: already against law because his son is a member of Rheinmetal Hellas!!!) and Chr. Markogiannakis] is if the ways of control of policemen were forced for the cops that get involved in this case. As they know well, police must give explanations of any case of arrested citizens that gets injured by police forces. The same must do the interrogator of the case.

4 of the 5 arrested people are free

f-(A)-st translation 09.09.2009 - 21:15
All 4 arrested citizens were setted free, policemen brought 10 members of them to state against the arrested but could not persuade the interrogator. As a result the young arrested citizens are not judged to pre-trial custody and setted free under restrictive conditions, such as they are not allowed to exit Greece and and have to appear at the local cop station once or twice a month. This interrogator's decision is a strong hit against the police, which during the latest incident randomly and without any clue arrested citizens, mostly around Exarheia district. The lawyer of the seriously injured youngster forced an indictment against the cops that beaten up the youngster. The request to Greek judiciary authorities for a doctor's report about the health of the injured was not taken seriously from the interrogator. The injured citizen was examined first by today(6 days after the brutality) and after a lot of pressure.
