Here are some pictures taken on 2 July. There is the Black Block and police with thier respective weapons.

On 2 July there were two large marches against the G8 summit. When the Black Block reached the harbor tensions were high between them and the police. The police arrested people and the Black Block fought with stones and barricaeds and burned one car. Police charged, arrested, used pepper spray and teargas and sent in water cannon tanks. The resistance against the police lasted over two hours and sent a signal that people are not happy with the system run by the G8.
