Schlacht um Faludja: Proteste in UK und USA
Die Schlacht von Falludja hat begonnen. Die Stadt lag unter einem furchtbaren Bombardement. US-Truppen drangen in die Außenbezirke ein, besetzten zwei wichtige Brücken. Mindestens 200 Iraqi Kolonialsöldner desertierten von den US-Verbänden. Marine commanders warnen, dass die neue Offensive die härteste Schlacht seit der Wiedereroberung der Stadt Hué von den Viet Cong sein wird. Eine einflußreiche Irakische Muslim Gruppe hat Iraqi Kolonialsöldner aufgefordert nicht mehr gegen Falludja zu kämpfen: "Beware of being deceived that you are fighting terrorists from outside the country, because by God you are fighting the townspeople and targeting its men, women and children and history will record every drop of blood you spill in oppressing the people of your (...) Laut Chines. Nachrichtenagentur http://news.xinhuanet.com/english/2004-11/08/content_2191504.htm wurde ein US-Helicopter über Falludja abgeschossen. Außerdem verbreiten Die Minarett-Lautsprecher die Nachricht, dass die Gefangennahme von über 30 Marines gelungen sei. Dies wurde vom Kommando der marines nicht bestätigt.

The assault on Falluja has started. U.S. warplanes are dropping huge bombs on civilian neighborhoods, and ground troops are beginning to enter the city. One hospital, Nazzal Emergency Hospital, was destroyed in an air strike; another, Falluja General Hospital, has been seized by U.S. forces, making it unlikely that injured civilians will be able to go there for treatment. The estimated 50,000 civilians who remain in Falluja lack running water, electricity, and food. There will undoubtedly be many civilian injuries and deaths: during the last siege of Falluja in April, at least 600 Iraqis were killed, most of them civilians. In the current assault -- contrary to the perception that the U.S. military only employs high-tech, surgical weapons, to minimize civilian casualties -- AC-130 gunships are being used, which fire only ³dumb² munitions.
The death toll is expected to be high on the U.S. side as well: Marine
commanders have warned that deaths among U.S. forces could reach levels not seen since the Vietnam War. The U.S. assault on Falluja is a catastrophic action that will result in horrific and unnecessary bloodshed, fuel anger and resentment against the U.S., and swell the ranks of terrorist groups rather than eradicating terrorism. We need to raise our voices in opposition to this attack, insist that the U.S. return to peace negotiations, and call for our troops to be brought home now. TAKE ACTION! ORGANIZE ACTIONS THIS THURSDAY THROUGH SATURDAY

Der Sturm auf Falludja hat begonnen. Im Fernsehen werden wir Zeuge dramatischer Bilder. Angesichts des US-Sturmangriffs auf die irakische Stadt schallt es den USA und ihren Helfershelfern überall in der Welt entgegen: Nous sommes tous les Falludjiens - Wir sind alle aus Falludja!
Auf einer englischen Website steht über einem Beitrag: "We are all Falludjians". Dies ist der Weckruf an uns alle. Denn die USA schicken die Ärmsten und Marginalisierten ihres Landes als Söldner in eine mörderische - die letzte - Schlacht um Falludja. Nous sommes tous les juifs allemande - wir sind alle deutsche Juden - das war der Schlachtruf der im Mai 68 von den Pariser Barrikaden der französischen Polizei entgegenschalte. Damit sollte zum Ausdruck gebracht werden, dass die "eigene" Polizei in der Occupation mit den Deutschen kollaboriert hatte, und es sollte daran erinnert werden, dass die Polizei vor nicht all zu langer Zeit den Krieg gegen die Nordafrikanische Kolonie Algerien - im Inneren - mit geführt und verteidigt hatte. Auf einer Antikriegsdemonstration Algerischer Migranten in Paris zu Beginn der 6oer Jahre hatte die Polizei eine regelrechte Jagd auf Algerier veranstaltet. Über hundert Algerier fanden den Tod, teilweise wurden sie in die Seine geworfen. Befehlshaber der Polizei war damals ein Kollaborateur, der mit den Deutschen die Deportation der Juden mit organisiert hatte - und nun im Mai 68 die Polizeiaktionen gegen die Studenten und Arbeiter im aufständischen Paris anleitete.
Das aufständische Falludja ist es nun, gegen das die britische, die USA-Armee und ihre kolonialen Hilfstruppen aus dem Irak ein Höllenfeuer aus Bomben und Artillerie losgelassen haben. Während Blair die Hoffnungslosen und Überflüssigen aus den Slums Glasgows und Newcastles - rekrutiert z. B. im schottischen Ehrenregiment "Black Watch" - in die Schlacht schickt, - so wie es einst 1916 über die Felder Flanderns von inkompetenten Generälen aus der Oberschicht unter den Klängen der Dudelsäcke immer und immer wieder gegen die deutschen Maschinengewehrnester gejagt wurde.
Nun rufen viele Kriegsgegner in Frankreich, England, USA, Kannada: "Wir sind alle aus Falludja!"
Und was sagen wir dazu in Deutschland? "Panzer in Falludja und Ramalala - das ist wahre Antifa!" Antisemitismus, schalalalalah!

U.S. forces launched a major offensive on Monday night 8th November to regain control over the Iraqi rebel-held city of Fallujah, after Iraqi Prime Minister Iyad Allawi authorized the U.S.-led assault on the city. Many civilian deaths are expected. Meanwhile today Monday another Black Watch soldier has been killed.
In response today in Edinburgh red paint and anti war slogans were sprayed on the US consulate. 100-150 protested in Parliament Square, Edinburgh, while protesters blocked roads in London and demos were scheduled for this evening in at least 30 locations Britain-wide.
Protests are being called for town and city centres across Scotland from 5pm on Tuesday 9th November. In Glasgow meet in George Square. In Edinburgh meet in Parliament Square, marching on the Scottish Parliament around 5.30pm. Anti war demos are being called for town and city centres across Scotland from 5pm on Tuesday 9th November.

Margaret Hassan, director of the humanitarian group CARE International, who has joint British-Iraqi citizenship, was kidnapped yesterday morning in Iraq. Although nobody has claimed responsibility for abducting Ms. Hassan, the immediate assumption is she was grabbed by the Iraqi resistance or al-Zarqawi, the latter accused of all manner of barbarity, including beheading kidnap victims.
But why would the resistance kidnap somebody who has provided humanitarian assistance to the people of Iraq for 25 years? Is it possible the Iraqi resistance wants to deny the Iraqi people humanitarian assistance?

US air raid on Fallujah clinic kills dozens
"Over 20 medics were killed in the air raid and dozens others,including wounded people, were killed as a result of the US raid on the city early Tuesday," local residents told Xinhua.
The sources said the one-storey Community Clinic, which had beenreceiving wounded insurgents and civilians, was totally destroyed.
The building was one of the three Community Clinics erected in the city to substitute the main hospital, which was seized by US and Iraqi forces Monday night, just hours before a full-scale offensive began.
Medics in the city told Xinhua that their clinics were runningout of medical supplies and the only ambulance they had was hit by US fire.
Fierce battles continued on Tuesday as the US-Iraqi forcespenetrated the heart of the city from the northwestern Jolan district and al-Mualemeen district in the east.
Xinhua reporter saw that five tanks were set ablaze in a publicfield near the city center and another tank was also on fire in a nearby main street.
The US-led forces faced stiff resistance from the fightersdefending the city, which forced the US troops to withdraw from several positions in the battlefield.
Roofs of high buildings were turned to fighting positions forsnipers from both sides shooting at anything moving, even animals.
Early Monday, US Marines backed by Iraqi troops started an all-out offensive in a bid to regain control of the rebel-held city as part of the government's efforts to pacify security situation ahead of the January elections. Enditem
Doctors Liberated from the Fallujah Resistanc
The US forces have taken possession of the hospital, leaving the incursion into the hospital to be carried out by Iraqi soldiers. The hospital, the largest in the city, is located on the western side of the banks of the Euphrates rivers, which separates it from the centre, leaving just small clinics to deal with any local wounded or dead if full-scale fighting erupts. According to Salih al-Isawi, the hospital director, the building had been surrounded and "they are telling us over loud speakers that if we leave the building we will be shot at", reporting that an ambulance that tried to exit the facility was fired upon.
