Manifestations for the Rights of Immigrants | Thessaloniki (14M)
in Thessaloniki. Topic of both manifestions were the rights for immigrants, in
contrarity to the discussions on immigration at the EU-summit in Chalidiki this
weekend. Both of them, were non-violent and peaceful.
The Manifestation,
organized by the Thessaloniki Social Forum (about 30.000 People) was dominated by a lot of organized
(all kinds of communist and socialist) groups and parties. The anarchist and
anti-autoritarian march (about 3000 People) was kind of powerful, in some moments the atmosphere was
somehow aggressive but in the end also non-violent. Only a couple of
surveillance-cameras were smashed and a lot of graffitis found there destinations
on the walls of Thessaloniki.
