Help the Peace Movement.
In the very near future, most of the remaining MI Abrams tanks in the US bases in Germany will be sent to Iraq. The turbine engines of these tanks are proving to be vulnerable to sand and dust, and US forces are in need of those presently stationed in Germany and Albania for combat in Iraq.
US forces have also exhausted about one-third of the available stocks of precision munitions. Regular "dumb" bombs must soon be deployed -- with all the consequent loss to the civil population.
On another matter, Alan Greenspan, head of the US Federal Reserve (central bank) has been in the White House no less than three times in the last two days. It is speculation of course, but we are sure that

Many of the troops still remaining in Germany likewise will have to be shifted to Iraq.
On another matter, the boycott of American firms and products throughout the world is being noticed in Washington. Alan Greenspan, head of the US central bank was in the White House no less than three times in two days. We may be sure this topic was mentioned. Thanks to all Germans carrying out this work.
We in the US peace movement will be grateful if German colleagues can do what can be done to prevent the movement of all this fire and death to the mideast.
At least one US congressman is now calling for the internment of peace protesters in the USA. Another, Roscoe Bartlett, has introduced a law to require the withdrawl of the USA from the United Nations. Germans will remember who called for their withdrawl from the League of Nations.
