Mayday in Berlin
It all started last night already, when a supermarket called "Plus" was looted. The same supermarket was looted again on Mayday. More riots occurred on the eve of Mayday in Northeastern Prenzlauer Berg. Unfortunately one woman was injured badly by a bottle.
On Mayday itself, several demonstrations took place. In the morning, anti-fascists protesting against neo-fascists in the far North-East of Berlin. A large amount of police separated the protesters from the neo-fascists. In the centre of town, the trade unions held a short march. Klaus Zwickel from the metalworkers' trade union IG Metall announced a strike beginning on Mnoday, May 6th.
No less than four revolutionary demonstrations took place in the afternoon and evening of May 1st in Berlin. At 1 p.m., the Maoists and migrants' organisations protested in a peaceful march through Kreuzberg, a part of Berlin to the South-East of the town centre. This demonstration joined a anti-imperialist autonomous and communist demonstration against war and capitalism at 4 p.m. which was also peaceful. At 6 p.m. the autonomous anti-fascist demonstration was scheduled to start at Rosa-Luxemburg Platz in the central part of Berlin (Mitte). When they crossed the river Spree further South, moving towards Kreuzberg, they heard about riots taking place in Kreuzberg. Cars were overturned, and along with rubbish containers, set alight. Late at night, at 10 p.m., another revolutionary protest, the real one this time, took take place outside the fire brigade in Kreuzberg.

und um ein oder zwei dosenbiere umsonst zu bekommen, muss ein derartiger aufriss stattfinden, ja?
