Police Forces and the Government begin to show their real intentions. Promises to have at least one of the main railway stations open during the g8 meeting have trasformed overnight into the closure of the Brignole and Principe railway
stations and the instituition of a bus connections between seondary railway stations and the convergence center, so as to maximize control.
Yesterday 5 people coming from Turin to the Information Center to participate
in the Global Audio Project

some of the Italian movement radios) were searched. They had to leave Genoa before midnight with an ordinance telling them that they cannot enter the city for three years.
This morning two events have happenend in a short while in Rome: the search of two squats and the arrest of two comrades for possession of personal amounts of illegal substances (ie. weed), while the private house of at least one person has been searched with the charge of subversive association (a heavy crime set up during the fascist period and meant to break up political enemies of the Duce, ed.) connected with two attempts on the DS (Democratici di Sinistra, the
moderate left-wing party) offices during the Kosovo War.
We have at present no news about the arrested comrades.

Polizeieinheiten und die Regierung zeigen nun ihre wahren Intentionen. Das Versprechen wenigstens einen der hauptbahnhoefe waehrend des g8-Gipfels offen zu lassen, wurden gebrochen Principe und Brignole Station sind geschlossen, ebenso wie die Busverbindung von letzterem zum Konvergenzzentrum.
